A player can call, raise, or check. They can also fold. If a player folds, they do not compete for the pot.<\/p>\n
When a player does not make a bet, they are called to “check”. Checks are usually only made if there is no other bet on the table. Often, a player will want to stay in the game until they see what other players are doing.<\/p>\n
Players who are unable to make a bet or a call can discard their cards. Their hands can then be checked for new cards, if they so choose. Once players have discarded their cards, another round of betting takes place.<\/p>\n
