Once each player has 2 cards, a round of betting begins. The first player to act places a mandatory bet into the pot (called a blind) which is then followed by players acting in turn clockwise around the table.<\/p>\n
Once everyone has placed a bet, 3 additional cards are dealt face up in the center of the table (called the flop). This causes another round of betting, which begins with the player to the left of the dealer.
